October 17-31, Sites A20, A21
Our third time at Water's Edge and I will reiterate what I said about it the first time we were here...The view from the site is amazing! Each campsite has its own covered deck with a picnic table, most are right over the water. Grand Lake is over 46k acres. Sites are level. Water pressure is great! If you’re in a 5th wheel, you may need an extension for your electric cord, but they will supply you with one if you need it.
The boys has a great time fishing for bass and caught several sand bass and black bass.
The road into the campground is a tunnel of trees and goes past a large herd of Longhorn cattle on one side and horses on the other side. We walked 2-4 miles each day past those beautiful animals and had a horse run up to the fence to greet us.
Pickles Pub in Langley still has the best pizza around! We played Singo (music bingo) and partook in the traditional pickle shots. Also visited Mooneys on the lake again for the best half-pound burgers. Did some trail riding around Disney, found the Rock House and Panty Hill. Little Blue Park was beautiful with the fall colors starting to pop.
