This campground is only about a mile from Tombstone. We were in site #2. It has a nice laundry room, rec center, and a heated pool. Hookups and water pressure were good. The ground is all gravel. There is a small log fence between every site and the posts each have a solar light on top. That makes for some interesting lighting throughout the park at night. You can access ATV trails right from the campground. The staff in the office are very friendly and welcoming. They also offer a shuttle service into Tombstone.
Now for the not so good news - Wi-Fi is very slow (typical for a campground). Verizon cell service is bad. It's actually better to connect to the campground Wi-Fi!. This is unfortunate for this time of year as it is hindering my online Christmas shopping! OTA channels are few and we can’t stream anything due to lack of cell service. Sites are a bit cramped and it’s next to a busy road. The traffic subsides during the night so it’s not bad for sleeping but it’s quite loud during the day.The town of Sierra Vista, 20 miles away, is the closest town for shopping.
While we were here, we did some trail riding, took a scenic drive to the Mexico border, walked through Boothill Graveyard, wandered through Tombstone several times and did the ghost tour. I love this kind of stuff!
